Since the foundation of the herd in 2006, herd health has been a top priority. The herd undergoes annual blood testing (along with every other French herd) and is guaranteed free of TB, IBR, paratuberculosis (Johne's) and BVD.
Herd performance is regularly monitored by Herd Book Limousin who carry out pre-certification checks, DNA analysis and point scoring of adult animals. The growth rate of calves is independantly monitored by Bovine Croissance who carry out the quarterly weight recording and point scoring of calves at weaning.
